Comic Con

Comic Con started about 45 years ago in 1970 when a group of sci-fi, movie, and comic fans put together the first comic book convention in San Diego. It started as a one day event, then eventually grew into a three day event, and ultimately into the wildly successful national phenomenon it is today. Comic Con features film screenings, meet-and-greets with actors and characters from favorite comic books and films, panels, and much much more. I recently had the opportunity to attend the Philadelphia Comic Con, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. It may be corny, and it may be gimmicky, but I challenge anyone to attend and not have a good time.
